Each year, it costs more than $3 million to run the various ministries to the poor at South Side Mission.
South Side Mission is a community-supported ministry. What does this mean to you?
- We are not a United Way agency.
- We do not receive any Government funding.
- More than 20,000 individuals, churches, businesses and groups support the Mission each year!
- We rely on people like you, giving a gift each month over and above your tithe to your local church.
- Additionally, South Side Mission is funded by proceeds from our Mission Mart thrift stores.
- Finally, South Side Mission receives gifts annually from kind-hearted souls who include the Mission in their will, trust, life insurance, and other estate plans.
The Mission takes stewardship of your donations seriously. We are a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. The ECFA holds its member ministries to exceedingly high standards of fiscal responsibility, ensuring that donor contributions to member ministries are used with great frugality and care. Furthermore, the Mission has its books audited annually by the accounting firm of Heinold-Banwart. If you'd like to see a copy, simply click on our PDF file below and have a look for yourself.
