Accounts Receivable Clerk
Position Description:
We are looking for an accounts receivable clerk who will be responsible for processing approved invoices and purchase orders for payments. You will be tasked with processing approved payments through the approved methods which may include checks, ACH, and credit cards.
You will assist in creating invoices, recording donor data and processing and posting bank deposits. You will also perform general clerical duties and other duties assigned to you by your supervisor.
You must be proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Excel and previous donor database experience or use of CRM database is desired.
An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the accounting process and budgeting.
Pick-up and Delivery
Position Description:
Under the direction of the Pickup & Delivery Supervisor, this role facilitates pickup and delivery of items for South Side Mission Thrift Stores.
Pick up donated items as scheduled. Deliver donation to appropriate Mission locations. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, standing, lifting and walking required.
Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Maintenance Custodian
Location: South Side Mission – Main Campus

Position Description:
South Side Mission is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Custodian. This role involves performing non-certified light-duty maintenance tasks and custodial care to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities.
Key Responsibilites:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and equipment upkeep.
- Maintain the grounds of South Side Mission properties by cutting grass, raking leaves, trimming bushes, removing debris, and snow removal.
- Conduct custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure the proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down spaces for events or meetings.
- Monitor and report any safety or maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic tools and cleaning equipment.
