Human Resources Manager
Position Description:
The Human Resources Manager provides advice and counsel to South Side Mission staff and Department Managers for resolution of HR issues, interprets and administers policies and agreements. Additionally, the Human Resource Manager provides direction for all human resource activities to include recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee records, human relations, training, legislative compliance and policy implementation and enforcement.
Volunteer/Meal Events Coordinator
Position Description:
The Volunteer & Events Coordinator is an integrated member of the Development department, with the objective of supporting the Mission by building an ever-increasing network of volunteer support. The person in this role is responsible for volunteer recruitment, orientation, project planning, implementation, and supervision of volunteer activities. This person is also responsible for food service and soup kitchen volunteers and must be certified and be responsible for food ordering. This role, in conjunction with the Development Manager, is responsible for coordination of South Side Mission events.
Accounts Receivable Clerk
Position Description:
We are looking for an accounts receivable clerk who will be responsible for processing approved invoices and purchase orders for payments. You will be tasked with processing approved payments through the approved methods which may include checks, ACH, and credit cards.
You will assist in creating invoices, recording donor data and processing and posting bank deposits. You will also perform general clerical duties and other duties assigned to you by your supervisor.
You must be proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Excel and previous donor database experience or use of CRM database is desired.
An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the accounting process and budgeting.
Thrift Store Supervisor
Position Description:
Responsible for the oversight of all daily operations. Maintain appropriate customer relations. Ensure neat and orderly display of merchandise and maintain cleanliness of the Thrift Store. Recommend annual budget for the Thrift Store and provide input into it’s strategic planning. Recommend volunteer needs for the store to Volunteer Coordinator. Flexible hours are required, including evenings and weekends.
