In addition to volunteering your time, financial support of our ministry is crucial to keeping this work moving forward.
DONATED ITEMS
We accept donations of household good large and small, foods, and vehicles.
HOUSEHOLD
Gently used household goods, clothing, etc. can be dropped off at one of our thrift stores.
Donation times for the Thrift Stores are Tuesday through Saturday 9 am – 4 pm. See us on War Memorial Drive in Peoria and at our Morton store in the Field Shopping Center.
FOOD
If you would like to donate individual food items, schedule a food drive through your church or workplace, or provide food through your business or other organization, please call us.
VEHICLES
If you have a running vehicle in good condition that you would like to donate, please call us to schedule your pick-up or drop-off.
LARGE ITEMS
Call us to schedule your pick-up of larger items like furniture and appliances. Our Transportation Supervisor can be reached at (309) 635-6278.

Maybe you have benefited from these services or maybe someone close to you has, maybe you care about those most in need in our community who receive services from the Mission.
In addition to a cash donation, there are a few other financial plans that benefit our mission.
Leave a Legacy
We offer help to those most in need through our various ministries and programs. We provide Christ-focused activities to keep young people engaged and off the streets and serve thousands of meals a year. Maybe you have benefited from these services, maybe someone close to you has, or maybe you simply care about those most in need in our community who receive services from the Mission.
By making a bequest or other planned gifts through your estate, you will be assured the great Christian service provided by the Mission will continue. Donor-Advised Fund
How does it work?
- Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program
- Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free)
- Recommend grants to qualified public charities of your choice.
What are the main advantages of a donor-advised fund?
Simplicity – The DAF sponsor handles all record-keeping, disbursements, and tax receipts. Flexibility – Timing of your tax deduction can be separate from your charitable decision making.
Tax-efficiency – Contributions are tax-deductible and any investment growth in the DAF is tax-free. It is also easy to donate long term appreciated securities, eliminating capital gains taxes and allowing you to support multiple charities from one block of stock.
Family legacy – A DAF is a powerful way to build or continue a tradition of family philanthropy. No start-up costs – There is no cost to establish a donor-advised fund. However, there are often minimum initial charitable contributions to establish the DAF (typically $5,000 or more).**No transaction fees – Once approved, 100% of your recommended grant goes to your qualified public charity of choice.
Privacy if desired – Donors may choose to remain anonymous to the grant recipient.
